[ENG] END OF YEAR CHECKLIST FOR AY2020 ANNOUNCEMENT

Dear School Student Registrars,

We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your hard work with continuous support and contribution to iNEIS™.

As we are approaching the end of the 2020 Academic Year, you need to ensure the following tasks are done:

  1. Graduating Students
    • Student Clearance
    • Graduating Students
  2. Student Progression
    • Student Progression
    • SAP Year 9 Progression
  3. Student Track Allocation
  4. New Student Upload

This guide will assist you in carrying out the above activities in iNEIS™ to ensure students’ data is ready for the following Academic Year.

Please ensure students who have pending Transfer/Withdrawal/Deferment issues have been settled before proceeding to the Graduation/Progression/Streaming process.

The table below summarizes the above three (3) key activities and their applicable Academic careers with the respective dates of commencement.

1. GRADUATING STUDENTS

This is to be done for students who have completed their Academic Programs and are ready to be “Graduated”. Prior to running the Graduation Students process, please ensure that the following steps are completed:

1.1 Student Clearance – Teacher with the School Admin Clearance role will assign, update and complete the Clearance Checklist(s) for the graduating students.

NOTE:

– NOT applicable for Pre-School students.

– Should the Create Clearance Checklists process display ‘No Success’, please contact the iNEIS™ Helpdesk team to ensure that you are assigned with the necessary user securities.  

1.2 Graduating Students – Teachers with the School Admin Clearance role will graduate the students based on their examination results.

NOTE:

– ONLY applicable for Pre-School, PSR, ‘O’ Level, IGCSE, Edexcel Extended, Edexcel Diploma, Special Needs and ‘A’ Level students.

– Please ensure that the Graduation Students process is run for BOTH Academic and CCA Careers.

2. STUDENT PROGRESSION

This is to be done for students who will be progressed on to the following level. This is done according to the student’s attendance statistics.

2.1 Student Progression – School Student Registrar to progress/retain students to their appropriate levels for the new Academic Year.

(This is ONLY applicable to Secondary schools students who are progressing from Special Applied Program Year 9 (SAPYR9) to their specialized Year 10 plan i.e. Art & Design Year 10, Business Administration Year 10, etc.)

NOTE:

– ONLY applicable for Year 1- 5, Year 7 (including Sports School), Year 9 (including Sports School), Year 10 (including Sports School) and Lower Six Form.

– If the Progression process has been done before the Graduation Students process, School Student Registrars are to be reminded to verify and exclude these students from the Graduation Students process. This is to prevent School Student Registrars from graduating the wrong batch of students.

– Students who did not go through the Progression Process due to attendance of below 85% will need to be progressed manually.

3. STREAMING OR STUDENT TRACK ALLOCATION

This is to be done for streaming/retaining students to their appropriate Academic Program and Plan for the new Academic Year.

– ONLY applicable to Year 8 (including Sports School), and SAP Year 11 (Special Applied Program Year 11).

4. NEW STUDENT UPLOAD

This is to be done for new students coming from Arabic or Private schools and also for students who have graduated from their previous academic career e.g. Student has graduated from Preschool will need to be re-uploaded as Primary student.
