The new Withdrawal action reasons are as highlighted below:

Health Reasons Under 18 Years Old

WD12

Quit School Under 18 Years Old

Currently, students under 18 years old cannot be withdrawn from school without providing an official letter with the reason for transferring to private, religious or overseas schools.

However, with the new Withdrawal reasons, students under 18 years old are now allowed to be withdrawn from iNEIS™ after schools have taken the following action:

1. School Student Registrar to contact the parents/guardian to get the whereabouts of the student.

2. If the School Student Registrar is having difficulty in contacting the parents/guardian of the students, the Class Teacher is to continue marking the student as ‘Absent’ in their attendance for a month. i.e 16 January 2020 to 16 February 2020

3. After one month of absence and no updates from the parents/guardian, the School Student Registrar may then withdraw the student through Student Withdrawal process in iNEIS™.

Note: The Withdrawal date should be on the first day AFTER the one month period of absence. i.e 17 February 2020.

4. If the student wishes to come back to school, parents/guardians may appeal for a permission letter from Unit Hal Ehwal Pelajar under Jabatan Sekolah-Sekolah. Once the student is given the permission letter and provides this to the school admin then School Student Registrar may proceed to re-admit the student into the school via iNEIS™.
